Revised pay scale for college and university teachers
A state cabinet meeting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today decided to approve revised pay scale for teachers of colleges and universities with retrospective effect from January 1, 2006 as per recommendation of Union Human Resources Ministry.
The cabinet also decided to increase the superannuation age of classroom teaching staff from 62 years while the superannuation age of non-teaching staff, sports officers and administrative officers will remain 62 years. A decision was also taken to increase the retirement age of vice-chancellors from 65 to 70, orders of which will be separately issued by the competent authority.According to the decision, retired teachers can be invited as guest teachers up to the age of 70 who retire by the date of issuance of this order. The cabinet decided to separate alternative sources of energy from Energy department and form a separate department for it and amended work allocation accordingly.
The cabinet decided to lift the ban on accepting applications for establishing new India-made foreign liquor and beverages.The cabinet decided to provide additional funds to Tehsil offices for solving stationary problem of Patwaris.
Their travel allowance will also be increased as per Agrawal Commission recommendations. The cabinet decided to fix Rs 650 per standard bag as the rate of tendu leaf collection for the year 2010. The cabinet decided to increase the wages of cooks who cook food for midday meal scheme. These rates will be separate for primary and middle schools.
