'Government, opposition head for price war in house'

while the Statesman quotes the President as saying 'Price rise inevitable' and the Asian Age headline reads 'government, opposition head for price war in house', its interesting to note the observation by the Times of India on its front page. 'mandi price a fraction of what you pay' writes the paper. It lists the varied whole sale and retail prices of various vegetables.
 The Tribune writes 'Lieutenant General Prakash gets relief, tribunal quashes court of inquiry'. Beheading of 2 Sikhs by the Taliban in NWFP in Pakistan figures in all dailies. The Hindu quotes the Punjab Chief Minister as saying 'An outrage against humanity'

'Buried in house files: 47 bills' reports the Tribune. The paper writes that the oldest is 23 years - and asks - why have bills? if the government has no intention to take them forward?

Shah Rukh Khan snapping the IPL deal with a company owned by Ashok Todi, the accused in the Rizwanur case also finds place in many news papers.

The Times of India reports of a 'Bobble', a new reusable water bottle that filters tap water. A single bobble filter is equal to 300 water bottles, decreasing the menace of disposing plastic.
