Chief minister Shri Chouhan’s announcement fulfilled
Bhopal:Saturday, August 29, 2009:Updated 17:10IST In fulfillment of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s announcement at the Khel Panchayat at his residence in year 2007, copies of the orders issued to the different departments sent to the different government departments were given to the Vikram Awardees at the state level sports award presentation ceremony here today.
The Governor Dr. Rameshwar Thakur was chief guest and Chief Minisetr Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan presided over the function. On this announcement the Ravindra Bhawan hall resounded with applauds of the audience as well as the players.
It may be mentioned here that at a Khel Panchayat held at Chief Minister’s official residence on August 29 2007 the Chief Minster had announced that Vikram Awardees would be declared excellent players by general administrative department and these players would be given government jobs.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the players devoted all their childhood and youth to acquire excellence in their games. These worthy sons of soil would not run from pillar to post to get a job. This would help them support their families in a better way besides enabling them to perform better in future, he added.
The Vikram Awardees of year 2007-08 for whom the appointment orders have been issued include Ku. Neelam Sharma (Wushu), Sushri Darshana Vakade (kabaddi), Shri Munnalal Mamodia (Malkhamb), Shri Manish Kumar (disabled person), hand wrestling, Shri Vikas Sharma Karate, Kumari Monica Namdev (Wushu) Shri Saraswat Patel (gymnastic), Ku, Puja Jain (kabaddi), Shri Sikandar Kuril (softball), Shri Pankaj Soni (Malkhab) and Shri Sachin Verma (disabled person) for swimming. The Governor presented these papers to five players as a token.
It may be mentioned here that as per the decision of the state government appointments in government service will be given to excellent players declared as excellent players for year 3007 and 2008.
The general administration department has sent the applications and attached letters received for recruitment on direct calls three posts. Besides, the department has directed the general administration department to provide appointment on vacant posts of Assistant Grade-3 conforming to all the norms pertaining to educational qualification, reservation and roster.
