Two Roads sanctioned under B.O.T.

Bhopal:Tuesday, August 25, 2009:Updated 21:45IST The Cabinet at its meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today accorded sanction for construction of two roads under BOT scheme. These are 95.225 kilometre long Ujjain-Unhel-Nagda-Dhanoda-Jaora Road and 74.12 kilometre long Satna-Chitrakoot Road. The Cabinet gave administrative sanction of Rs. 194.79 crore for Ujjainb-Jaora Road and Rs. 124.24 crore for Satna-Chitrakoot Road.
Ujjain-Jaora Road would be widened upto two-lane. As many as 102 culverts and 15 bridges would be constructed/reconstructed and one R.O.B., 11 bridges and one underpass would be constructed afresh. The concession period for this road including the construction period has been fixed for 20 years.
Satna-Chitrakoot Road would be widened upto two-lane. As many as 101 culverts and one bridge would be constructed and one bridge would be constructed afresh. The concession period for this road including construction period would be 25 years.
The Cabinet granted permission for applying the concession agreement approved by the state government for the projects to be developed by Design Built Finance Operate (DBFO) mode and for incorporating them in the agreement after making amendments suggested by Government of India for sanction under Viability Gap Funding.
