Other states festivals in Madhya Pradesh

Himachal, Gujrat and Kashmir to hold Madhya Pradesh festival
Bhopal:Thursday, August 6, 2009:Updated 18:45IST Maharashtra, Dakshinavart, Kashmir and West Bengal festivals would be organized in Madhya Pradesh under the “Paraspar” programme of cultural exchange. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh festival would be organized in Himachal Pradesh, Gujrat and Kashmir.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the programme committee of the North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Allahabad held under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh Secretary of Culture Shri Manoj Shrivastava here today. The meeting finalized an outline of the different programmes to be organized in concerning states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajsthan, Haryana and Delhi.
The meeting decided to organize programmes at Sagar, Jabalpur, Udaipur and Allahabad to provide forum and opportunities to budding artistes who have received scholarships from concerning state governments and the culture depart of Government of India to display their talents. Under the series of cultural progremme of Allahabad Hat Bihar festival would be organized at Jodhpur and Jaipur.
Talent Festivals would be organized at Ratlam, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni and Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh. Rangdhara Natya Utsava would be organized at Gwalior, Indore and Ujjain.
Under Pratibha Utsav programme two-day programmes would be held at Jabalpur.
The first day would feature classical singing by Sushri Ashvini Morghode (Gwalior) and folk dances by Shri Chaitanya Ratonia (Jabalpur) and Shri Bharti Badgaiya, Mohammad Nadim Rain, Shri Shayma Pandit and Shri Kapil Chourasia (all Sagar).
The second day would feature classical singing by Shri Manish Kumar (Bhopal), Veena recital by Shri Ankur Dharkar (Gwalior) and folk dances performances by Shri Mahesh Kumar Sandela, Shri Roshani Chourasia and Shri Kapil Kumar Yadav (all Sagar). Shri Majid Latif of Bhopal would sing Ghazals. Similar programmes for other states were also finalized at the meeting.
The meeting decided to form new groups as per the proposals received from different states subject to availability of funds for Guru-Shishya Prampara Yojana. This year Pratibhawan Puraskar Yojana would be introduced in Madhya Pradesh under which each selected artist is given a cash award of Rs. ten thousand and a certificate.
As per the programmes finalized at the meeting a workshop on story writing and staging would be held at Bhopal from September 14 to 19 where noted expert Shri Hemant Sesh, Jaipur and every day some other expert would elaborate on this genre. Sharadotsava would be held from October 3 to 5 at Chitrakoot in which Shri Govardhan Bhai and his troupe from Rajkot would present Terahtali dance and Garbha dance.
A Sufiyana Gayan would be organized from October 4 to 6 at Bhopal where Shri Muktyar Ali, Badmer would perform. Narmada Utsav would be organized from October 13 to 15 at Bhedaghan in Jabalpur in which Sushri Kanchan Singh and her troupe from Allahabad would perform folk dances of Dwaba region.
Tulsi Utsav “Raghunath Gatha” would be organized from October 16 to 18 in which Sharma Brothers; Muzaffar Nagar would give their performance. Mandu Utsav would be organized at Mandu from October 23 to 25 in which Smt Gulabi Bai and her troupe would perform Kalbelia dance and Shri Murarilal Tiwari from Mathura would perform folk dances of Brij.
Nimar Utsav would be held at Maheshwar from November 2 to 4 where Sushri Rekha Takar from Jaipur would perform. At Gwalior Sabri brothers would perform Quawwalis from November 14 to 16.
Besides, Maihar Samaroh would be organized at Maihar on November 20 in which Shri Mishrilal and his troupe would perform Habeli music. Shruti Samaroh would also be organized at Maihar from November 21 to 2. The first day of this two-day festival would feature performance of Shri Haider Ali Jugnu, Allahabad and the second day would feature the performance of Mand singing by Sushri Mangi Bai and her troupe.
At Ujjain Mangalacharan would be organized at Ujjain where Shri Govind Bhargave, Kanpur would present Bhajans. Lokrang Utsav would be held at Bhopal from January 26 to February 1 during which Shri Shshpal Chouhan, Rohatak would perform Dhobia dance. Khajuraho Utsav would be organized at Khajuraho, Baudh Utsav at Sanchi and Sampada Utsav at Mandla.
Under the pilot scheme of Cultural Industries the training programme 2008-09 would be held for master craft persons on the premises of the Kendra at Allahabad with the cooperation of the concerning states. The programme would be documented and market would be made available for the products of these craft persons so as to facilitate their direct contact with the consumers.
