More rural youth have sex before marriage

Thackeray slams Gadkari over appeal to Muslims
Fresh trouble in Hyderabad over the Telangana statehood issue grabs front page attention in most dialies. "Students, police clash on Osmania campus" reports the Hindu in its front page lead. The Tribune says "City turns into fortress with deployment of 20,000 cops".
The Tribune reports on its front page that curfew was imposed in Batala in Punjab after members of the Hindu and Christian communities clashed and vandalised public property over the publication of a picture of Jesus Christ in an allegedly objectionable manner.

In a front page exclusive, the Indian Express writes that the Home Ministry's plan of asking Rashtrapati Bhawan to dispose of one death penalty case a month to clear the backlog has run into a roadblock. The paper reports that Rashtrapati Bhavan is clearing only those files that favour commuting the death sentence into life imprisonment.

The sharp response from Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray to BJP President Nitin Gadkari's appeal to the Muslim community to show generosity on the Ram Temple issue is widely covered in the papers today. " Thackeray slams Gadkari over appeal to Muslims" writes the Pioneer.
In interantional news, most papers notice the collapse of the Dutch government over irreconciliable differences between the coalition partners on extending the Netherland's military mission in Afghanistan.

And finally, the findings of a study carried out by the Indian Institute of Population Sciences and the Population Council are highlighted in many dailies. "Survey reveals low level of condom consciousness" reports the Hindu. The Hindustan Times writes that the survey has shown that more rural youth have sex before marriage than their urban counterparts.
