The state government has instructed that like previous years, United Nations' Day will be celebrated this year also on October 24.
On this occasion, flag of United Nations will be hoisted along with National Tri-Colour at all those government buildings where UN flag had been hoisted earlier as well. But the United Nations' flag will not be hoisted at Raj Bhawan, Vidhan Sabha and High Court buildings. At the district headquarters where United Nations' flags are available, they can be hoisted along with National Tri-Colour at important government buildings.
The state government has made it clear that as per Indian Penal Code 2002, when the flag of United Nations' is to be hoisted along with National Tri-Colour it can be hoisted in any direction of the National Tri-Colour. As per the instruction, generally the United Nation's flag is hoisted to the extreme right direction of the National Flag.
