Planning commission member, Shri Shah calls on C.M.

Bhopal:Tuesday, July 28, 2009:Updated 20:00IST Member, Central Planning Commission, Shri Mihir Shah called on the Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here at Vidhan Sabha Bhawan today. Expressing happiness over nomination of Shri Mihir Shah as member of the Planning Commission, Shri Chouhan said that Shri Shah’s nomination has increased the expectations of the Madhya Pradesh from the Planning Commission. The renowned economist, Shri Mihir Shah is the first person form Madhya Pradesh to be appointed as member of the Planning Commission.

Shri Shah said that under the leadership of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan people’s faith in politics of development has increased. People in rural areas are convinced that Shri Chouhan is making all possible efforts for betterment of farmers and rural areas of the state.
The Chief Minister underlined the need for amendment in tasks rates provision and construction of permanent assets under the National Rural Employment Gurantee Scheme and to make adequate provisions for development blocks which are backward in the mainstream of the progress.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also apprised the Member, Shri Shah of the application of information technology for good governance in the state. Shri Chouhan said that every possible mean is being adopted to curb the menace of corruption.
Shri Mihir Shah lauded the command area development works and construction of wells built under the Kapildhara sub-scheme of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Shri Shah shared his experiences of development works carried out by him specially in rural area with the Chief Minister.Sunita Dube
