J&K Drama Hog the headlines of most dailies

Most dailies have a picture of the high drama in the J&K Assembly yesterday, with supporters trying to dissuade Omar Abdullah from quitting as CM. " Upset at PDP charge, Omar quits as CM" as the Hindu headline, while the Times of India writes "Persuaded to stay, PC says charge false".

Anil Ambani's no holds barred attack on brother Mukesh and the Petroleum Ministry finds prominent coverage. "Anil puts Deora in gas chamber" is the Economic Times headline.
The Sports pages feature two interesting stories today. The first - Germany's Paul Biedermann handing Michael Philps his first major international defeat since 2005, winning the 200m freestyle title with a world record. Second - Ferrari is hopeful of Massa's return - but Schumacher could stand in for him.
The Indian Express has an unusual story. The item titled "For lonely Punjab prisoners, government plans a family break in jail" says that jail inmates will get residential suites for short stage with wife and children.
India's greatest conman Natwarlal who died at the age of 97 on the 25th of July finds front page coverage in the Hindustan Times. "Natwarlal leaves them guessing even in death" says the paper. Apparently the conman's brother claimed that he died in 1996.
"Chand Mohammed is Chander once again " writes the Times of India, of the infamous Haryana leader of the Chand-Fiza fame.
