Proposal to introduce periodical registration of doctors
The number of doctors registered with State Medical Councils/Medical Council of India for over a long period of time, the number of registered doctors presently practicing is 5.5 lakhs approximately.
There is a proposal to introduce periodical registration of doctors by amending the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
