After 67 year yatra, Advani intends to quit'.

The decision of the Prime Minister's Special Envoy on Climate Change, Mr Shyam Saran, to quit office dominates the front pages of most dailies. Interestingly, the papers ascribe different reasons for this move. "Denied NSA post, Saran quits PMO" reports the Pioneer
while the Times of India wonders if he was miffed by the delay in getting a Minister of State rank. The Hindustan Times says that he quit because he was being sidelined by Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh.

The BJP's decision, at its National Council Meet, to corner the government on the issue of price rise is widely noticed. The Hindu writes that the the party plans to gherao Parliament on April 21 and collect about 5 crore signatures from across the country to submit to the President Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil. Reporting on the BJP meet, the Tribune writes on its front page ,`After 67 year yatra, Advani intends to quit'.

The release of the Block Development Officer kidnapped by the Maoists in Jharkhand and the Supreme Court canceling 157 mining leases operating in the Aravalli hills in Rajasthan are some of the other stories that widely covered in the papers today.

The Dalai Lama's meeting with US President Barack Obama dominates the international pages of most dailies. "Livid China slams Obama on Tibet" writes the Hindustan Times while the Statesman reports, `China ups anti, summons US envoy'. The Asian Age says, `Dalai asks China to trust India'.
