Rs 74 lakh sanctioned for calamity-affected persons

 For Barwani, Vidisha and Balaghat districts
The state government has sanctioned Rs 74 lakh to the collectors of Barwani, Vidisha and Balaghat districts for extending assistance to the people affected by hailstorm, fire and the needy persons.
Out of these funds, Rs 43 lakh has been allocated to Barwani collector. Of this amount, Rs 22 lakh will be provided to fire-affected people, Rs 5 lakh to hailstorm-affected people, Rs 10 lakh to needy persons and Rs 6 lakh will be spent on the rehabilitation of people and other works.

Similarly, Vidisha collector has been allocated Rs 26 lakh out of which Rs 3 lakh will be spent for the assistance of fire-affected people, Rs 5 lakh for the needy persons and Rs 18 lakh on rehabilitation. The Balaghat collector has been allocated Rs 5 lakh, which will be spent on assistance for rehabilitation and payment of pending bills.

The concerning collectors have been instructed to utilise these funds as per norms laid down in 6-4 of Revenue Book Circular.
