Bhopal:Tuesday, October 20, 2009:Updated 16:28IST A six-day training programme is going on for 78 officers of Central services in tribal and hilly areas of the state. These officers are undergoing 15-week training at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration, Bhopal.
Director General of Academy of Administration Dr. Sandeep Khanna has informed that from October 19 to 24, 2009 these officers will study local conditions by visiting and staying at the hilly areas of Pachmarhi, Mandla, Amarkantak and Bandhavgarh.
The Academy has provided sleeping bags and safety bags to the trainee officers to help them trekking hilly areas carrying their paraphernalia.
It is the endeavour of the Academy that the trainee officers should come to know of the ground realities by directly interacting with tribal and poor people so that they can turn sensitive towards the problems of the poor and tribal people.
Joint Director Academy of Administration Smt. Krishna Kumhre is maintaining constant contact with the administrative officers of the concerning districts with a view to giving a concrete shape to the training programme.
