Bhopal:Thursday, September 10, 2009:Updated 20:23IST A training workshop on “Digital Media and Library Information Services” was jointly organised by NASSDOC (National Social Science Decentralization Centre) New Delhi and CRISP at Bhopal from 7-10th September 2009.
The workshop was focused on how to create a digital multi-faceted area of library environment facilitating internal content publishing and single point access to internal and external information sources. The four-day workshop was attended by participants from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.
On this occasion, the Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Shri Sewaram observed that earlier librarians were supposed to be close and limited with books only, now they. Play a new role of information providers and this workshop will help them enhance their duties.
