PERSONAL AND EDUCATIONAL

Shri Rameshwar Thakur (born 28th July 1927) in Thakur Gangti village, Godda district, Jharkhand is married to Smt. Narmada Thakur and has two sons and two daughters. He had his early education in Bhagalpur, Patna University, and thereafter went to Calcutta University where he took degrees of MA and LLB. He obtained his FCA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi. He practised as a chartered accountant from 1954 to 1984. He served as a lecturer in Calcutta University (1954 to 1969) and also a visiting Professor at Department of Management Studies, Delhi University (1959-1973).
