This year projects worth Rs 13 thousand crore estimated to be set up
Bhopal:Friday, July 24, 2009:Updated 17:20IST Capital investment to the tune of Rs 4791 crore 74 lakh has been made in Madhya Pradesh during the last five years. As many as 89 big industries were established in which 15 thousand persons got direct employment.During this period, 87 thousand 55 micro and small units were also set up with an investment of Rs 1099 crore 83 lakh and two lakh 12 thousand persons got employment.While replying to the debate on the budgetary demands of his department in the Vidhan Sabha recently, Commerce, Industries and Employment Minister Shri Kailash Vijayargiya informed that various investors' meets held in the state to attract investment proved to be result-oriented.
Investors are enthusiastic about making investments in the state and therefore, duration of Udyog Mitra Yojana has been increased. This scheme has been launched to motivate industrialists to invest and establish their units in Madhya Pradesh. Projects worth Rs 13 thousand crore are estimated to be established in the state.
He informed that Destination Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit-2 will be held in Indore Focus of the summit will be agriculture, agri business and food processing. Besides, road shows will be held at Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chandigarh to attract investors to Madhya Pradesh.
