Special session will be a important milestone

 Special session is not a political move
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the special session of Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha has been convened with a view to deciding the roadmap for making Madhya Pradesh a golden state. He said that this session has not been convened with political motive but is an honest effort in Madhya Pradesh's journey for development and prosperity and it will prove to be an important milestone. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a meeting held at the Mantralaya in connection with preparations for the special session. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, the special session of Vidhan Sabha is going to be held from May 11 to 14.

Those present at the meeting included members of the state cabinet Sarvashri Babulal Gaur, Raghavji Bhai, Anup Mishra, Jayant Kumar Malaiya, Umashankar Gupta, Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Gopal Bhargava, Sartaj Singh, Gaurishankar Bisen, Ajay Vishnoi, Archana Chitnis, Dr. Narottam Mishra, Jagannath Singh, Nagendra Singh, Karan Singh Verma, Ranjana Baghel, Nanabhao Mohod, Paras Jain, Mahendra Hardia, Harishankar Khatik, KL Agrawal, Rajendra Shukla and Brajendra Pratap Singh, Chief Secretary Shri Avani Vaish and Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments.

Shri Chouhan informed the meeting that efforts will be undertaken to prepare a vision document of every department for the next three years during the special session.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the special session is an exercise to extend the process of 'Manthan'. He said that during the special session, ground realities about making Madhya Pradesh a golden state will be informed by the members of the Vidhan Sabha on the basis of their experiences. This will be an important step after receipt of suggestions made by various working groups for implementing seven priorities of the state government and recommendations at Manthan workshop by members of the state cabinet and top administrative officers.

Chief Secretary Shri Avani Vaish exhorted officers of all the departments to ensure attendance during the session. He said that departmental information and data should be updated in the context of discussions to be made during the special session.
