Godowns to be built in Bundelkhand

Godowns and cold storages will be built in Bundelkhand area at a cost of Rs 600 crore in two years utilising the funds allocated for special Bundelkhand package sanctioned by the Union government. This information was given at a meeting of collectors of

Chhatarpur, Panna, Sagar, Damoh, Tikamgarh and Datia at Orchha in Tikamgarh district recently. The meeting was chaired by Principal Secretary Planning and Statistics Shri K Suresh. Sagar division commissioner Shri SK Vadya was also present on the occasion.

Department-wise review of Bundelkhand's developmental schemes was undertaken at the meeting. Instructions were given to concerning officers to give information about implementation of various schemes to local public representatives positively. Bundelkhand lacks godowns and cold storages and that is why a decision has been taken to build more warehouses and cold storages in the region.
