Bhopal:Monday, September 14, 2009:Updated 18:56IST On All India Flag Day For Blind, representatives of National Association For The Blind, Bhopal branch called on the Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and pinned him the flag, here at Chief Minister House today. The Minister for Public Relations, Shri Laxmikant Sharma was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan contributed donation to the association for welfare of visually impaired. Couple of visually impaired children Shri Dewansh Soni and Shri Tanish Shrivastava sang songs on the occasion.
Shri Chouhan lauded the talent of these children.
Those who were present on the occasion include President, National Association For The Blind, Shri M.S. Khan; Vice President Smt. Adita Asnani, Secretaries Shri Uday Hatwalne, Shri Mahesh Chandra Agrawal, Smt. Vinita Kopargaonkar, Shri Ravinu Kopargaonkar, Shri Manoj Sharma, visually impaired students Shri Bheem Singh Mehar, Shri Ramesh Tandon and Shri Hitkishore Dhakad.
It may be mentioned that the All India Flag Day is observed every year on September 14 to awaken the interest of the general public towards the welfare of the visually impaired people and their need for opportunities to become self-reliant.
