students should keep up tempo of studies for bright future

 Tribal Welfare Shri Khatik addresses guidance camp for ST children
Minister of State for SC, ST Welfare Shri Harishankar Khatik has said that meritorious students of reserved classes should keep up the tempo of studies for their bright future. He exhorted the meritorious students to inspire other students of their communities to come forward.

Shri Khatik was addressing the inaugural function of a guidance camp for children of reserved classes on the premises of Tribal Research Institute at Shamla Hills here today. On the occasion, Shri Khatik bestowed state level Dr. Ambedkar Awards and citations to students of reserved classes, who have topped in their respective districts in class X and XII examinations.

Shri Khatik said that better works have been undertaken in Madhya Pradesh as compared to other states for the welfare of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. He made a special mention of class X tribal student Nitin Tandekar of Dindori district, who has secured maximum 95 percent marks and brought laurels to the state. Shri Khatik called for pasting the picture of this meritorious student at public places. This will inspire other students as well. Shri Khatik hoped that the students of reserved classes will excel in other activities also.

Addressing the students, Principal Secretary Tribal Welfare Dr. Devraj Virdi said that students of reserved classes do not lag behind their general category counterparts. It is the bounden duty of teachers to keep motivating the students. Bhopal divisional commissioner Dr. Pukhraj Maroo exhorted the students to undertake efforts by putting lofty targets before them.
