Attending camp proves beneficial for villagers

Tuesday, July 14, 2009 18:31 IST Happiness writ large on the faces of the villagers who attended this camp and beneficiaries could be seen in a joyous mood while returning to their houses after receiving benefits at the camp. Pleased at getting forest land right documents, Mangilal of village Arinobad purchased sweets for his family.
He said that before getting this right we had been under constant fear of being displaced from the land which our ancestors had been cultivating for centuries. Out Chief Minister has given us this right. Now, I will make arrangements to irrigate this land. Such was the atmosphere at the district level public welfare camp held at Anandpur village in Lateri development block on Monday.
Public Relations Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma gave away forest rights documents to 214 beneficiaries at the camp apart from a cheque to Smt. Devi Bai of Narayanpur village under National Family Assistance Scheme. Assistance amounts under Mukhyamantri Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana and tricycles to handicapped persons were also distributed.
Sanction letters were provided on the spot to five beneficiaries under Nanadan Phalodyan, five beneficiaries under Kapil Dhara and five beneficiaries under Nirmal Vatika scheme. National Savings Certificates were given away to 10 girls under Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Birthday and Annaprashan ceremonies of five children were also celebrated. Kits of seeds of Urad (White lentil) were distributed among six beneficiaries.
Public Relations Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma disposed of applications on the spot and instructed officers to complete works within the deadline. Out of 640 applications, 520 were disposed of at the camp and deadline was set for disposal of other 120 applications.
Collector Shri Yogendra Sharma dwelt in detail on the public welfare programmes of the state government. Those present at the camp included chairperson of District Panchayat Shri Raghuvir Singh Raghuvanshi, chairman of Land Development Bank Shri Narayan Singh, CEO of District Panchayat Shri ML Kaurav, public representatives and officers of various departments.
